My story begins in 2005, when I was 25 years old.

I sent the Universe a wish to meet my Twin Flame, who, according to the legends, is the other half of my soul. According to the legend, every soul was originally one, and was then cut into two halves. These soul-halves truly belong together and eternally long for each other, seeking their way back to one another. Such soul-halves, or Twin Flames, are each other's One True Love. That's what I had read.

According to what I had read, however, Twin Flames don't always meet during a lifetime. In the cycle of reincarnations, they may even be in bodies at different times. In fact, they meet each other extremely rarely: they are, in fact, protected from meeting one another.

“For everything that you are not, your counterpart is, and everything that you are, your counterpart is not. And everything that your counterpart is, you are not, and everything that you are, your counterpart is not.”

I also read a warning: meeting one's own Twin Flame can be devastating, because these counterparts are each other's complete opposites in every way. It was also warned that if the Twin Flames' karma is not in balance when they meet, they will cause chaos...

Despite the warnings, I wanted, and asked, to meet my Twin Flame. I wanted to meet the man who would be my “One True Love”.

During the summer following my request, and preceding the start of the events, I had for a long time a very ominous feeling. I sensed that something terrible was about to happen, something truly horrible, after which everything would be completely different...
